Sheriff Bill Massee

Born in Milledgeville, Georgia October 9, 1946 and educated in the Baldwin County public schools. Graduated from Baldwin High School in 1964, received Associate’s Degree from Georgia Military College and a BBA from Georgia College and State University in 1970.

 

Career

Law enforcement background:

Georgia Bureau of Investigation 1971-1977

Chief of Police Milledgeville Police Department 1985-1988

Currently serving 9th term as Baldwin County Sheriff. Elected 1988 took office January 1, 1989.

Appointments and elections:

Past President of the Georgia Sheriff’s Association

Past President of the Constitutional Officers Association of Georgia

Served as board member of the Georgia Board of Corrections

Member of Peace Officers Standards and Training Council

Currently an active executive board member of the Georgia

Sheriff’s Association and Graduate of the National FBI Academy
